Inner Peace - A 7 Day Chan Retreat

About the Retreat:

Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of Master Sheng Yen’s unique Buddhist practice under the quidance of Guo Yih Fashi and Guo Shie Fashi . Venerable Sheng Yen is a world renowned Chan Master in both the Caodong and Linji Lineage and has been guiding students around the world in the practice of Chan Buddhism for more than 25 years. The retreat will be conducted in Mandarin with English interpretation and screening of Dharma talks by Master Sheng Yen. Interviews during the retreat will also be arranged as required.

The event is free. Please bring your own lunch and wear comfortable clothing. Noble silence is observed at the retreat - this means that participants refrain from talking during the retreat.

Da Bei Chan - Chanting the Great Compassion Mantra

Da Bei Chan is the Chanting of the Great Compassion Mantra to the Guanyin Bodhisattva (Goddess of Mercy) - a close encounter or sense of connectedness to the Guanyin Bodhisattva. We also try to follow the example of the Guanyin Bodhisattva and be compassionate to other people.The event is free. Chanting is conducted in PuTongHua (Mandarin).Please RSVP so we know to expect you, as there is a security gate at the front of the complex, we may have to come down to let you in.
