Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association Australia welcomes your participation in our forum!
The purpose of this forum is to provide a positive, supportive and safe environment to exchange ideas, thoughts, raise questions and obtain answers on practicing Buddhism, meditation and anything else that relates to Buddhism and compassionate living.
We welcome everyone's participation irregardless of your religion, beliefs and race.
For a community to be successful and beneficial to its participants, it's important every one of its members treat each other with respect. As such, please take some time to review the following posting etiquette.
Posting Etiquette and Guidelines
Do's
1. Be courteous
2. Be considerate
3. Keep an open mind
4. "Write" legibly - ie. pLeAse dOn'T WriTe liKe tHiS
5. Stay on topic - It's okay to stray off topic. It's normal during the course of conversation to stray slightly off topic, but do try to keep within the title of the topic when posting, if a topic strays so far off topic as to make it impossible to decipher and confusing to read, the thread could be closed.
6. Perform a search before you post to make sure a similar topic isn't already covered.
7. When quoting, try to quote only the parts of the passage related to your reply rather than quoting the whole post.
Don'ts
1. Do not SHOUT - Remember using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling.
2. Do not attack, insult, "flame" or abuse members, guests and moderators.
3. Do not use explicit, obscene, vulgar, degrading or derogatory language.
4. Direct and indirect commercial postings/ solicitations are not allowed.
5. Links to advertising (including signatures) are not allowed.
6. Do not post copyrighted material
