Inaugural Activity at DDM Sydney’s New Centre

11 Oct

DDM Sydney held its first activity at the York Street City Centre on Friday 11 August 2017. Although there are still work to be completed at the centre, Changxu Fashi started a series of classes for the Evergreen Group so that members can have a better understanding of the vision and mission of Master Sheng Yen and the work of Dharma Drum Mountain.

Due to the amazing efforts of all volunteers involved, the City Centre was up and  ready within a few weeks and fitted with bare essentials for us to start running activities and classes. Our regular group meditation is back to normal with multiple sessions held over a month. Other regular activities will gradually return to normal, with more new activities being planned by Fashi.

A Purification Ceremony was held on Sunday 13 August 2017, immediately followed by our first management committee which hopes to bring the application of Dharma in daily life to the public.

We welcome old and new friends to our City Centre which is very close to the Town Hall Station, with the Queen Victoria Building nearby. Further information on the opening hours of the City Centre will become available in due course and we look forward to meeting you all!
